A one month Skill Development training on _"PROCESSING AND VALUE ADDITION OF INDIGENOUS FRUITS AND VEGETABLES OF SIKKIM HIMALAYA_" was launched on 17th September 2018 at Department of Horticulture, Sikkim University



The programme was jointly organized by Biotech Park, Lucknow and Sikkim University, Gangtok, under the aegis of Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Imphal. Prof. Pramod Tandon, CEO, Biotech Park, Lucknow, and Prof. Jyoti Prakash Tamang, officiating Vice Chancellor, Sikkim University, addressed the trainees, faculties, and guests. The programme coordinator, Dr. Laxuman Sharma, Head of Department of Horticulture, informed the audience regarding the activities to be carried out in the programme. The faculty from Biotech Park, Lucknow, Prof. Rishi Shanker, and Mr. Shyam Kumar talked about the genesis of skill programme, student empowerment, the need for skill sets, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. --
