The inaugural ceremony of Skill Programme on "Post-Harvest Technology & Processing of Fruits" held on 23rd January 2018 at Department of Horticulture, Aromatic & Medicinal Plants, Mizoram University. The skill programme was jointly organized by Biotech Park, Lucknow and Mizoram University, Aizawl, Mizoram during 23rd January to 24th February 2018 under the aegis of IBSD, Imphal sponsored project "Skill Development in Biotechnology in North East India". The acting Vice Chancellor, Mizoram University, Prof. Lianzela addressed the trainees and guest of inaugural programme. The Dean, Prof. Shiva Kumar made remarks on the interest of the university in the area of skill development. Dr. T.K Hazarika, Head of Department of HAMP and skill programme coordinator talked about the activities planned in the programme. Prof. Rishi Shanker and Mr. Shyam Kumar represented Biotech Park, Lucknow as guest faculty. Prof. Rishi Shanker talked about the genesis of skill programme and student empowerment.
