The inaugural ceremony of one month Skill Development training on GOOD CULTIVATION PRACTICES AND POST-HARVEST PROCESSING OF SOME IMPORTANT HORTICULTURAL CROPS OF MEGHALAYA  was held on 15th November 2018 at Lady Keane College, Shillong. The one month Skill Development programme (15th Nov. - 14th Dec. 2018) was jointly organized by Biotech Park, Lucknow and Lady Keane College, Shillong, under the aegis of Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Imphal, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Prof. Pramod Tandon, CEO, Biotech Park, Lucknow, and Dr. (Mrs.), C. Massar, Principal, Lady Keane College, addressed the trainees, faculties, and guests. Dr. D. Nongbri, Asst. Professor, Department of Biochemistry informed the audience regarding the activities to be carried out in the programme. Prof. Pramod Tandon also delivered the inaugural address entitled "Bioresource Utilization Through Skill and Entrepreneurial Development". Mr. Andrew Dkhar, Agriculture Information Officer, Department of Agriculture, Meghalaya talked about various schemes & programmes supported by the department. The faculty from Biotech Park, Lucknow, Prof. Rishi Shanker, and Mr. Shyam Kumar talked about the genesis of skill programme, student entrepreneurship, need for skill sets, creativity, innovation, women entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystem in North East India.
