The inaugural function of one month Skill Development training on POST-HARVEST TECHNOLOGY & PROCESSING OF FRUITS 

The inaugural function of one month Skill Development training on POST-HARVEST TECHNOLOGY & PROCESSING OF FRUITS  was held on 13th November 2018 at Imphal College, Imphal. The one month Skill Development programme (13th Nov. - 12th Dec. 2018)  was jointly organized by Biotech Park, Lucknow and Imphal College, under the aegis of Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Imphal, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Prof. Pramod Tandon, CEO, Biotech Park, Lucknow, and Dr. M. Priyobarta Singh, Principal, Imphal College, addressed the trainees, faculties, and guests. The programme coordinator Mr. L. Ranjit Singh, informed the audience regarding the activities to be carried out in the programme. Thangjam Joykumar Singh, Proprietor, Thangjam Agro Industries, shared their entrepreneurial experiences and talked about horticulture products and untapped potential of biodiversity in North East. Prof. Pramod Tandon also delivered the inaugural address entitled "Bioresource Entrepreneurship for Bio-economy" The faculty from Biotech Park, Lucknow, Prof. Rishi Shanker, and Mr. Shyam Kumar talked about the genesis of skill programme, need for skill sets, student entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Horticulture.
